GREENHOUSE GAS CONCENTRATIONS REACHED NEW HIGHS
The world meteorological organisation (WMO) declared the increase in CO2 was above the average rise recorded over the last decade. The amount of gases that go up into the atmosphere from the use of fossil fuels such as burning coal for electricity and from deforestation. A quarter of all carbon emissions are absorbed by the seas and a similar amount by land and trees. The WMO records rising of the concentrations of other warming gases like methane and nitrous oxide. Methane comes from natural sources, human activities, cattle farming, rice cultivation.
This report will be discussed in the annual round of international climate talks in Madrid soon.
